Chicken bacon sandwich

The chicken bacon ranch on garlic bread – easy to make and one of my personal favorites.

What you need:

  • chicken breast
  • bacon
  • ranch dressing (not available in Japan)
  • baguette
  • butter
  • garlic powder
  • pepper
  • grated parmesan
  • parsley

Ok, yes this isn’t health food but it is beyond delicious.

1 Combine butter, crushed garlic, salt, pepper and chicken in foil envelope. Cook @190c for 12-15 min.

2 Save the juice! Chop the chicken and return it to the juice to rest.

3 Butter your baguette then add the parmesan and parsley. Toast. I like to use the braiser, but if you have never used one this isn’t the time to try.  It can toast your bread in seconds and seconds later your bread is on fire.

4 Dont forget your bacon! I use precooked bacon from the US that my mom mails to me.

5 Add the chicken and Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing to your baguette and devour.

Back in Brooklyn N.Y. this dish got me through many a winter’s night. I would roast several chicken breasts at the same time and eat these sandwiches for days. If you want to make it a bit healthier, you can always substitute a plain toasted baguette and skip the bacon.
